Further to an investigation into on-track incidents in SLGT Race 2, the stewards of the meet have penalized competitor #66, Mr. Ushan Perera 2 places, under Clause 8.g of SLAS’ Appendix R, for ‘gaining an advantage via an off-course excursion.‘

It must be noted that at the time of the trackside investigation, the stewards were limited to only the broadcast footage, and with commercial and live broadcast considerations in mind, chose to declare the results of the race as ‘provisional’, pending the gathering of further evidence including in-car footage from other competitors.

This process has now been completed and the podium finishers of SLGT Race 2 are as follows:

2. Viren Botejue, #110

3. Ushan Perera, #66
